Ally and Ira met in 2009 when they performed at the same event. Ally was directing the performance of the Laboratory Dancers. Ira was playing cello through distortion pedals with singer Scarlet Monk.
Curiously, this event led to them identifying a mutual love for original acoustic music. For over two years, they've been performing all over Chicago.
